Welcome Home Ryah!

Today was such a memorable day!
Today, our friends Aaron and Stephanie brought home their sweet little girl, Ryah Grace.

Aaron and Stephanie started the adoption process in Ethiopia over three years ago.  For three years they have completed stacks of paperwork, shed many tears, waited and waited, and relentlessly prayed for the child that God had for them across the world.  The road was not easy.  When they set out to adopt, they never dreamed it would take 3 years to bring their little one home.

Today they landed on U.S. soil with the most beautiful 2 year old in their arms and started their life as a family, forever.  It has been such an honor to walk through this journey with the Coalson’s over the last few years.  It’s been amazing to see the way the Lord has grown them and prepared them for this sweet little girl.  There were so many times when the devil tried to convince them to say no, but they were steadfast after what the Lord had called them to.

As they walked down the terminal and we stood there amongst friends and family cheering them on, my eyes swelled with tears and I was overwhelmed with God’s faithfulness and goodness!

Adoption is simply beautiful.  It’s one of the wonderful ways the Lord makes beauty from ashes!  As we stood there today, I couldn’t help but be reminded of how much adoption relates to our spiritual adoption through Christ’s work on the cross.

Just as Aaron and Stephanie stopped at nothing to bring home their baby girl - Jesus tirelessly pursued us when we were far from Him.
We were once orphans and He stopped at nothing to make us His.
He laid down His life to the point of death so that we could be made right with Him, forever.

Now that’s beautiful!
